Jake and Mike's Picks of the Week- 9/30/15

Here are our favorite books this week, which were yours?

Jake's Picks:

Aquaman #44 Aquaman is the best it's been in years ever since Cullen Bunn took the reigns.  Arthur has finally learned who is behind what's been going on in Atlantis, but the way he discovers it may just haunt him for the rest of his life.  The story in this series is great, the art is just as good, and I love Aquaman's look.  This is consistently one of my favorite titles each month.

Archie #3 Veronica makes her full debut in this issue and Archie is eating out of the palm of her hand!  Betty claims she doesn't care (but we all know she does).  It's nice to have a book each month that is as fun and carefree as Archie.  It's not the Archie we're used to but it is one that I'm behind 100%  From superstars Mark Waid and Fiona Staples, this is a book you need on your pull list!

Wonder Woman '77 Special #2 I have always been a fan of the Wonder Woman '77 TV series since my mom showed it to me several years ago.  When I think of Wonder Woman, it's Linda Carter that comes to mind.  This book is perfect for any fan of the TV show or just Wonder Woman in general.  It has the same vibe as the show but in a nice, over-sized comic book special.  Check it out!

Mike's Picks:

Ghost Racers #4 I've been a fan of the All New Ghost Rider when it first came out two years ago.  I think Felipe Smith did a really great job creating a new Ghost Rider vessel.  Now we get all of the Ghost Riders in one book together!  Plus, one of my favorite villains is added in the mix, Arcade!

Savage Dragon #207 One thing that makes this a great book is that it has stood the Image test of time!  It is one of the first titles alongside Spawn that jump-started Image as a company.  What's even more amazing is that the book is still done by the original artist/writer, Erik Larsen, a comic book great through and through!

Superman #44 So Superman's identity has been outed to the entire world (I guess the glasses could only work for so long)!  I'm really digging how all the Superman titles are building up and intertwining together.  This book is a must read for Superman fans.
