Here are the picks of the week, which books did you like?
Justice League 3001 #4
This Justice League book is a breath of fresh air from all the seriousness of the other Justice League titles out there now. The creative team doesn't take themselves of the characters too seriously. This book has plenty of good jokes while still driving plot and character development.
Sonic Universe #80
Sonic Universe is a great all-ages book. It doesn't just focus on Sonic but many of his supporting characters as well. The current story arc focuses on Silver the Hedgehog, it's always fun to see him use his psychic powers.
Gotham by Midnight #9
We found out last week that this book is ending in a few issues. That news is so disappointing to me because this book is consistently good every month and focuses on a corner of the DCU that we don't get to dive into very often. We don't get to see much of Jim Corrigan nowadays, so each month this series is always a treat.
Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps #4
One thing I like about this book is how it takes Captain Marvel (a modern day hero) and places her into World War II times. It's almost as if Carol Danvers is staring in "The Great Escape" or "Rat Patrol" and I really enjoy it.
We Are Robin #4
This story has been very intense from the get go. It's almost as if "The Warriors" (movie) were a team of heroes. You want all of them to make it back to their turf and you feel like they're unbeatable but things got real. I just have to read more!
Puppet Master #6
Since I was nine or ten I have loved watching Full Moon's Puppet Master movies! There haven't been any other movies in a long time, but now they have their own book!
