Jake and Mike's Picks of the Week- 7/29/15

Here are the picks of the week, what comics did you like?

Jake's Picks:

Lobster Johnson: A Chain Forged In Life From the pages of Hellboy comes this excellent one-shot featuring none other than Lobster Johnson.  This story follows a robbery turned hostage situation on Christmas Eve, the question is, does the Lobster have what it takes to stop the gang?  There's only one way to find out!

Hawkeye #22 This book came out last week, but because we were shorted, it's being featured this week.  This is the last issue in Matt Fraction and David Aja's phenomenal run on the Avenging Archer.  It's bittersweet, but the creative team delivers the ending that we all deserve.

Sonic Boom #10 We're two issues away from the finale of World's Unite.  This series has been an incredibly fun cross-over event between the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man; it's nostalgic for adults who played either game as well as kid-friendly for those who like the current depictions of these characters.

Mike's Picks:

Daredevil #17 This book is always exciting.  Mark Waid just stepped things up a notch by bringing back Kingpin who hasn't been in the series for quite some time.  Now Matt is making a deal with the devil that will turn him into social suicide.  Check this one out!

X-Men '92 #2 My first memory of the X-Men was from the Fox Kids animated series from 1992.  This is the perfect throwback to the series with some of my favorite characters; it's like a nostalgia Hail Mary for me.

Superman #42 John Romita Jr.'s art in this book isn't my favorite, but I am interested in seeing how Superman became de-powered and how he has become an outcast to Metropolis.
