Jake and Mike's Picks of the Week- 11/18/15

Jake's Picks:

Black Knight #1 This is my most anticipated comic of the more recent all-new all-different Marvel line. I'm a huge fan of the fantasy genre and to see that little corner of the Marvel Universe come around again is fantastic. Dane Whitman is an incredibly skilled swordsman and there is plenty of action from the get go. With a great supporting cast and artwork to compliment everything, this book is shaping up to be a favorite of mine.

Tokyo Ghost #3 I know I've already raved over this issue recently but it's just that good. Rick Rememder (writer of Low, Deadly Class, Black Science, Uncanny X-Force) gives us a scary look into the possible future of our world. Where technology has consumed the majority of the population and one couple is trying to escape to a better life. I cannot speak highly enough of this book.

Mighty Thor #1 This issue was my introduction to Lady Thor: yes I realize that her name is just Thor, but that's the only way I can think to identify her. I was surprised at how well this book was written. Jason Aaron is just a master at his craft and this first issue made me care about the character and what's going to happen in the future. Dark things are being put into place here and I can't wait to see where Aaron takes us.

Mike's Picks:

Spider-Woman #1 As you guys know, I have been all about this book. But now as an adult man reading a book about a pregnant super heroine, I'm a little out of of my comfort zone. So I'm excited and a little nervous at the same time, but Hopeless hasn't let me down yet.

Titans Hunt #2 I think anyone who was a fan of the 80's Teen Titan team will really enjoy the homage this book pays to them. It's really great how this story is bringing all of the 80's team together and in a well thought out way, that gives a break from the current Teen Titans book.

Action Comics #46 This story arc has been a real non-stop thriller but at the same time very basic. It's like Superman meets Roadhouse meets The Faculty! You won't be disappointed.
